All in all, this mod aims to improve the minimap and offers you more options for customising it. The minimap can be bigger, transparent, without a border, or if you fancy a challenge, you can play in compass-only mode. I don't know why you'd ever want to do that, but you do you!
fallout 4 minimap mod
There's also plenty of zoom-out options too, if needed, so you can zoom out of the original minimap by as much as you want. And if you can't be bothered to mess with minimap settings to no end, the mod also has a few available presets for you to check out and consider installing.
game crashes whenever i open the map with the m key, in both 1.11 and 1.11.2 versions, only other mods i have is your minimap mod which works fine, and optifine which also works fine so i don't know what the issue is. i had the 1.10.2 version of this mod with no issues. i would provide the crash log, but ever since the mc launcher update it wont let me open crash logs so i have no idea how to fix that either
Love using this mod along with the minimap. One thought for a feature (if possible) is to add the ability to set temp markers on the World map and have them disappear when the player gets close. Like if I'm looking at my world map and see something that I may have missed on my journey, I could right click on the map in that location on the map to set a temp waypoint until I reach that spot then I can add a permanent waypoint if I want when I arrive. I know other games like Skyrim and Fallout have this option. This would be much easier than having to constantly open the World map to make sure I haven't passed what I was looking for.
Hi xaero, I am using your minimap + world map combo. Since yesterday I am somehow loosing data on the world map. I flew 300k blocks around my area, searching for snowbiomes. I died at some point, which cleared the world map and started a new one. After relogging I had the old map back. I played more earlier this day - all fine. Now I logged in and get the map I had after my death yesterday. At the same time, I keep getting new waypoint sets, mostly empty. I switched them, trying to figure out if they connect to a certain file on the world map. Now I have a third, undiscovered map on my world map...I am kind of confused, what can I do to see my first world map again?
Shows NPC locations on the map. Uses a modified map page that is much more accurate to the game. Includes various settings to customize when to show NPCs. Includes a lot of support for custom mods. Includes a minimap HUD that can be resized in the mod menu and moved around with ALT + drag with mouse.
A great mod that allows you to customize your mini-map in a variety of cool and stylish ways. Try out the many different shapes, aesthetics, and more to find the minimap that suits them best. Very nice!
This is probably the most well-known and most used map mod in modded Minecraft. This mod adds a fullscreen map you can open up by pressing M and a waypoint function so you will never lose anything ever again. It also adds a minimap that will sit in the top right of your screen.
Now that I have told you the best map mods, how are you supposed to choose from this list? To be honest there is no single map that is the best as they all kind of work the same. The only real differences are how the minimap looks and what kind of functions they add. Usually, the minimap that looks the cleanest is the one that most people use but the truth is all of them are great in their own right.
Well, if you listen to devs talk about why their game is so grand as to not need a minimap or discuss with anti-minimap players why this is a good design choice, the argument tends to be boiled down to two talking points:
A better minimap that replaces the original minimap in the game. Adds the ability to switch imaging modes (plants, plant growth and soil) directly in minimap. These states are automatically restored after 60 seconds by changing the mode or resizing the minimap. 2ff7e9595c
